\u201cInterior Designs\u201d by Jimmie Chinn\u00a0presented by\u00a0Broadway Theatre Company<\/p>\n

Three women from different backgrounds share a common fate of loneliness and frustration.\u00a0 In order to fill the emptiness of their lives they attempt to trap the eligible odd job man, Him, who comes into their lives to offer his services.<\/p>\n

Three women from different backgrounds,\u00a0different ages and experience but who share the loneliness and frustration of living alone. In order to lift their lives, they attempt to trap the eligible \u2018odd job man\u2019\u00a0Him<\/strong><\/em>, who comes to offer his services!<\/p>\n

Despite appearances.\u00a0Amy<\/strong><\/em>, is a single mum with more than she can handle,\u00a0Holly\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>works in TV and seems quite frankly more than a tad high and mighty with enough sass to drive away anyone who doesn\u2019t courtesy, whilst\u00a0Irene\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>is older, a teacher, gentle, kind and smiley \u2013 I\u2019m sure that she really did want her house to have a new lease of life, not just the added bonus of\u00a0Him<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

The acting area for the three ladies was very clearly defined but not uniform; Amy\u2019s pad was sufficiently spares, if there was a whiff of washing! Irene\u2019s looked a tad more homely upstage centre whilst Holly\u2019s was as you would expect, a little superior with tall stool and red phone to complement her red attire. The phone I could well have imagined!<\/p>\n

Because the areas weren\u2019t cluttered we were able to see the girls without being distracted and getting a\u00a0false idea. This also paved the way for\u00a0Him\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>to wield his stepladder. There was dialogue between the ladies themselves and of course we heard the conversations between each couple. It\u2019s interesting that\u00a0Him\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>clearly stated, to\u00a0Amy\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>and\u00a0Holly\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>that he was unmarried which they chose to believe despite it being patently obvious that he was.\u00a0Him\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>was certainly a very energetic man who was making a fair amount of money. It rendered a rye smile when he was leaving each of them when they were invited to settle their bills.
\nHollie\u2019s bill was by far the most expensive,\u00a0but instead of \u00a3hundreds, he charged\u00a0Irene\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>a miniscule amount and seemed to be reluctant to charge anything. Did\u00a0Him<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0have a heart at the end? I\u2019d like to think so.
\nA well-choreographed piece with three strong actors. Well done\u00a0Broadway<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
