The Lover by Harold Pinter presented by Hog the Limelight
Directed by Sharon Walker, this was an interesting contrast to the other entries in this year’s Festival. It’s an intriguing play and was boldly interpreted and then delivered with confidence and skill by both performers. The set perfectly created the middle England scene and anyone new to the play, will not have expected the matter of fact introduction to this couple’s private life. For all those who remember the 70’s, it was most definitely not Terry and June, even if Richard did help himself to the decanter as he arrived home. Nice choice of champers though Sarah, I would definitely join you for that!
